Prisoner, Bible Study & Mentor Reentry

"I am now mentoring two ladies from maximum security pod who are not yet released. You can imagine MAX can seem like a hopeless end. They have been both in jail for over a year and fear for transfer if they are not sentenced soon. One of the ladies reminded me a lot of another lady I was able to see God heal in bible studies.

She came to me not speaking. No trust and did not know what to do. She only started coming to Bible Studies as her friend in jail would drag her in. Slowly we started meeting one on one. She has gone from listening to full open talking. I found her deep desire to learn about Jesus was because people around her always quote verses and she had no idea what they were talking about and she felt left out. She has gone from that to wanting to know the full stories in the bible and asking me questions like what it is to Fear God. Now she is telling me all about her walk when we speak. It is amazing to see how God works. She is not out yet, but her path is already starting to form with Him.
